 John Lepore began his Aikido Training in 1992 at Aikido of Pittsburgh under the direction of Ruriko Masutani Sensei. There, John, who came from a background in Sanuces Ryu Jiu-jitsu and Shotokan Karate, learned the foundational principles of Aikido. In 1997, John came to Aikido of Center City to train under the instruction of Donovan Waite Shihan. At ACC, he has been able to focus on Waite Sensei's unique and dynamic style of ukemi and technique and has gained all his Dan (black belt) ranks under the sponsorship and direction of Waite Sensei. Today, John holds the rank of San-Dan (Third Degree Black Belt) and holds regular weekly classes at ACC.
